Past Ryder Cup players v Past Walker Cup players

Congratulations to Clyne member Neil Roderick, playing in The Grand Match at Royal Cinque Ports, involving a team of past Walker Cup players vs a team of past Ryder Cup players.

Neil, playing with Roddy Carr, won their morning match against Brian Waites & Norman Wood. Paired with Darren Prosser for the afternoon match, they won their match against Gordon J Brand & Paul Way. Two great wins for the Walker Cup side. The amateurs beat the professionals 3.1 – 1.5.

INAUGURATION OF THE NEW FLAGPOLE AT CLYNE

Clyne Golf Club inaugurated its new flagpole today. It replaces the original which was severely damaged in a winter storm. The new pole was kindly donated by Past Captain David Williams OBE pictured here with Mrs Audrey Lake widow of Denis Lake who donated the original flagpole some 38 years ago. Also pictured are the Club Vice Captain Mr Ken Dent and the Club Vice President Mr Peter Jones.

Clyne Golf Club’s commitment to disability inclusion has been recognised by Disability Sport Wales.

Last year Disability Sport Wales, who are committed to Transforming Lives Through The Power of Sport,  supported over 1 million chances for disabled people to take part in sport and physical activity.
