Visitor Information

Clyne Golf Club warmly welcomes individual visitors and societies alike and offers a unique golfing experience. We always try to ensure that we present our course and our services at their very best and our policy is to treat visitors as members for the day. We want you to enjoy not just your rounds of golf but all of your time with us.

An e-brochure for visitors with all the information they need prior to their round which can be viewed by clicking here.

We offer a challenging course with 360 degree panoramic views, excellent locker room and practice facilities, spacious bar and restaurant facilities and of course a warm Welsh welcome.

Clyne is listed among Peter Alliss’s 200 Courses to play in the British Isles, is ranked 13th in Wales by National Club Golfer and is in Golf World’s Wales Top 30.

We offer 4 star Bed & Breakfast accommodation in our recently renovated Somerfield Lodge. The accommodation consists of 6 ensuite twin rooms adjacent to the course. For more information see Stay & Play.

There are three Electric Vehicle charging points for use by members and visitors.

We do ask that all visitors respect the rules of the Club.  We require that each player must have their own set of golf clubs and wear recognised golf shoes and attire on the course.

We also expect that all players can play to a reasonable standard, know and abide by the accepted rules and etiquette of golf, and do not hold up play.

Practice facilities are arguably unrivalled, consisting of an extensive practice area, a putting green, a chipping green, outdoor nets and indoor golf studio operated by the Professional Shop.

Our joint head PGA professionals are Matthew Hollis and Alun Lynch (pictured right) and both have extensive experience gained at clubs across South Wales.

Having both started their golfing journeys as junior members at Clyne, they share a genuine passion for the club and a commitment to helping golfers of all abilities to play better golf. With some of the best facilities in the local area, they pride themselves on delivering a first-class service in a relaxed and welcoming environment to both members and visitors alike.

Alongside a fully stocked golf shop and electric trolley repair centre, they also offer a comprehensive range of services from their newly refurbished Trackman Golf Studio. From personalised one-to-one coaching and studio hires, to a premium custom-fitting experience, everything they do is designed to help you enjoy better golf.
